Welcome to the Mad Web Scientist!

 

The Mad Web Scientist is a conglomerate composition clone clan composed of 4 main Mad Web Scientists created by Dez Futak in 2005, whilst he was busy learning how to use the internet to leverage his humor and mad science skills. The Mad Web Scientist YouTube Channel is dedicated to the mad antics of the Mad Web Scientist Clone team, headed up by Boris "The Rationalist" Besnowawitch, Hans "Zer Rulz" Schmidt, Francois "Le Creatif" Machinon, Ethan "Can I Help You?" Matthews and the main brain behind the team, Master Clone Dez "I’m normal Really" Futak.

So how was the idea really born?

For a long time in my Physics teaching career I brought boring Physics lessons to life using mimicry. After all, who wants to learn about Newton’s Laws of Motion (OK, I know some of you do), when you could be making a catapault or dangerous Spud Gun (don’t ask) instead of learning about how it might smash someone’s greenhouse glass…?

But the reality of teaching is that much of what drove us, was the imminent deadlines of exams, coursework, rote-learning and so on. So how to make those lessons more palitable, or even fun?!

For me, as someone who has always enjoyed a good laugh, I decided a few years back to incorporate humor. And specifically, mimicry, mixed with a tinge of madness.

And, as someone who loves performing on stage, (especially if I know that potentially millions might end up watching me… typical ego maniac), the idea of being able to teach what I know about the internet marketing business, in a way which might actually engage my viewers…well… I hardly need persuading.

So that’s what I’m focusing on in 2011: building up a series of content-rich tutorials, with a backend, low-cost membership site, possible training products, and more, alongside doing the nerdy things I like doing on the internet (such as copywriting, driving traffic and making videos for clients and so on).

And, for a limited time, I’m offering free lifetime membership to the The Mad Web Scientist membership site. I’m looking for around 100 movers & shakers who want to journey with me, and in exchange for free membership, and heavily discounted training products, I’ll be expecting some input from a self-selected few who want to partner with me over the next few years.
